Hate List by Jennifer Brown
I will be choosing just a hand full of the topics to talk about this book. I have only read like fifty pages so I will sum it up best I can. The title, Hate List seems that it takes a big role in this book because in the beginning there is a High school shooting and as the chapter goes on they begin to talk about "a list" of people they do not like. The main character Valerie seems like she is lost without her boyfriend Nick. Nick on the other hand seems like he gets himself in trouble a lot and is a bad impression on Valerie. Valeries Mom is also another big character in this book. She to me is a rude person who does not really treat Valerie all that great. She also puts alot of pressure on her by rushing her for school and always talks about the counselor. Then there is Valerie's counselor, Dr. Hieler. He seems like he knows what he is talking about and is helping Valerie. It seems like her Mom is always talking about what she should do, just because Dr. Hieler said so. Usually I am not a big reader my self but so far this book has kept my interest which is rare. I will continue to read it and find out more about what is going on.
I agree with you about Valerie's mom. I think she means well, but for some reason she stresses me out (maybe because she stresses Valerie out).
